Cheryl Grimaldi, CPC, is President of Tangent West. Grimaldi opened Tangent West in 1995 making her the fourth generation sales person in her family. She was moved by her father who told her the night of her high school graduation:
“The only security you will ever have is a job in sales. It is the only way to guarantee money in life. And honey one thing I know for sure is you are going to need money.”
Cheryl is a fourth generation native of Denver, loves Denver and Denverites. She has helped build hundreds of companies in Denver with her niche being accounting and finance and middle level management.
She started in the business in 1994 in Washington D.C. for Tangent Corporation with the record rookie year to date. She is additionally the corporate record holder for both single production month and biggest quarter in the history of Tangent. Grimaldi became President of Tangent West in 2000. Since then, Tangent West has been rated as one of Denver’s top staffing firms by the Denver Business Journal and Grimaldi was recently nominated by the Journal as being one of Denver’s top forty business professionals under forty. Grimaldi now holds the title of National Director of Training for all of Tangent and Tangent West’s recruiters, having offices in Washington D.C., Denver, Scottsdale and Boston. She additionally does in-house training for numerous recruiting firms across the country and will be training this summer in Europe.
Grimaldi’s recent accomplishments include transitioning her company from contingency to retained. She has been asked by Danny Cahill and the According to Danny Team to become an According to Danny Trainer.
She is one of the founding members for Colorado’s newly formed association, Rocky Mountain Association of Recruiters, “RMAR”, and is currently their education chair.
Grimaldi and her staff are in the process of forming “Fran’s Foundation” – a non profit foundation designed specifically for recruiters as a vehicle to give back and pay forward to those less fortunate.
Cheryl resides in Vail, CO with her husband Mark (an avid Raiders fan – sore spot in her family) and her two boys Max (7) and Luke (4). Her boys keep her on her toes – she however refuses to let them have all the fun and has recently joined them in their new found hobby of bungee jumping (the trampoline bungee not jumping off bridges!). She recently matched her son’s record of a triple back flip – her boys were very proud.
